NMIMS SBM opens admission for pharmaceutical management MBA programme

NMIMS SBM MBA pharmaceutical management students have received an average salary package of Rs 11.50 lakhs per annum from top MNCs.
NEW DELHI: The Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) School of Business Management (SBM) has opened admissions for its two-year, full-time MBA in Pharmaceutical Management. The programme aims to empower students to build careers in the pharmaceutical sector and began in 2002.
The institute stated that over the two-year duration, students engage in academics and hands-on fieldwork, including an eight-week summer internship with leading pharmaceutical, medical communication, or medical devices companies.
Twelve partnering companies have offered awards, including gold and silver medals, presented during the annual award ceremony. The institutes have also featured lectures and case studies from Ivy League Schools. The institute stated that the students have been offered an average salary package of Rs 11.50 lakhs per annum and top offers exceeding Rs 25 lakhs.

The NMIMS SBM curriculum for the pharmaceutical MBA programme includes weekly field experiences, and interactions with doctors, patients, retailers, wholesalers, medical sales representatives, and area sales managers.
According to NMIMS, the first year alone includes over 18 field projects, totalling 180+ hours of hands-on experience, complemented by 100+ hours of data analysis. “ NMIMS MBA Pharma distinguishes itself as a rare Indian program offering such immersive experiential learning, drawing parallels to the Wharton School of Business” the institute stated.
The NMIMS MBA in pharmaceutical management equips students with essential skills and knowledge to work in various fields like pharmaceuticals, medical devices, market research, consultancy, IT healthcare verticals, diagnostics, medical communication, nutraceuticals, and allied healthcare sectors.

As per the institute, the students have been offered different roles such as sales, marketing, business analysis, project management, client servicing, business development, international marketing, and operations.
