NTA exams

Even though NTA conducted CUET-UG for the third time in 2024, there have been irregularities and teachers raised concerns over delay in academic sessions caused due to late result declaration by the agency. NTA conducted CUET UG 2024 in May but announced the CUET results in the last week of July following a retest of 1,203 candidates.

NTA conducts the three biggest college entrance examinations – CUET-UG; National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) for medicine; and the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main) for engineering.

CUET-UG is conducted for admission to undergraduate programmes in central universities as well as a handful of private, state and deemed universities. In 2024, the number of candidates for CUET UG stood at 13,47,820; for the NEET exam, 24,06,079; and for JEE Main, 14,76,557.
