NEW DELHI: According to a report by ANI News, all schools, colleges and shops in Odisha will remain closed. In addition to this, internet services will also be suspended in Sambalpur along with a curfew for 48 hours. Odisha collector Ananya Das also announced that the curfew timings have been relaxed from 8 AM to 10 AM and from 3:30 PM to 5 PM.
Medical services have been excluded from curfew restrictions and people are cautioned not to go outdoors in view of the prevailing volatile situation, she said. The suspension on internet access and data services, includes WhatsApp, Facebook and other social media platforms, has been extended to another 48 hours up to 10 AM of 17 April, 2023.

After several shops were set on fire during a Hanuman Janmotsav rally in Odisha. The curfew was imposed to restore peace in the region after violence where 10 police personnel, including one woman cop, were injured in the violence during a motorbike rally in the city on Wednesday.
Recently schools timings in Odisha were changed in view of high temperatures. The schools were asked to ensure the provision of drinking water and other facilities required to beat the heat.
