Subscribe NowNEW DELHI, JULY 5: Odisha Civil Services 2018 mains examination has begun. The mains exam of OPSC Civil Services is being conducted from July 5 to July 29 for various subjects. The exam is being conducted in two shifts - morning shift (9:00 am to 12:00 pm) and afternoon shift (2:00 pm to 5:00 pm) and in offline mode. The exam centres for Odisha Civil Services mains exam are located in Bhubaneshwar, Balasore, Cuttack, Sambalpur and Baharampur.
Candidates who carried their OPSC Civil Services admit card and valid identity proof (Aadhaar card, Voter ID, Driving license, etc.) were permitted to write the examination.
Odisha Civil Services mains exam is being conducted for 9 papers for each candidate. The first five papers - Odia language, English, English Essay, General Studies - I and General Studies - II are common for all candidates. 2 papers will be conducted for each of the two subjects opted by the candidates. Each paper carries 300 marks and candidates will be given 3 hours to complete them.
OPSC Civil Services are conducted for the recruitment of candidates at various civil services posts from Group A and Group categories like Odisha Administrative Service, Police Service, Finance Service, Co-operative Service, Revenue Service, Taxation and Accounts Service and Employment Service. The exam is being conducted for a total of 218 vacancies out of which 69 are reserved for women.
