NEW DELHI: More than 400 students took the Bihar board Class 12 Hindi exam with car headlights as the only source of light. There was no electricity at the exam centre in Motihari. As a result of which the exam went on till 8 pm at the Maharaja Harendra Kishore college, as per reports.

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has started conducting the Bihar board exams for Class 12 from February 1. The BSEB Class 12 exams will conclude on February 14.

Bihar education minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary told ANI, “During the examination a special situation had arisen there, that's why that arrangement was made and instructions have also been given in that regard.”

As per the Bihar board, the BSEB exam 2022 is being conducted in two sessions - morning and afternoon. The morning session begins from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm and the afternoon session from 1:45 pm to 5 pm.

However, students who reached the exam centre for the afternoon session did not receive the answer sheets on time. As per reports, the authorities allegedly started the examination for BSEB Class 12 students after 4.30 pm due to “improper seating arrangements”.

Parents of the students started protesting due to the delay in starting the exam. Following this, police were called in to tackle the situation.

Later, parents and officials present at the exam centre turned on the car headlights and students were seated in the corridor so they get enough light to write their exam.
