Parul University hosts Vadodara Startup Festival 4.0; over 25,000 participated

Parul University: A total of 14 teams received cumulative funding of Rs 21 lack for their idea-stage startups.
NEW DELHI: Parul University organised the fourth edition of the Vadodara Startup Festival (VSF) at its campus. This three-day festival took place from February 26 to 28, 2024, in which more than 25,000 attendees participated in presentations, workshops, and discussions with entrepreneurs, investors, and industry experts.
According to the official press release, the VSF drew aspiring entrepreneurs from across the country, industry leaders, and students who want to explore the startup landscape in one place. The festival hosted a diverse array of startups, highlighting the inventiveness, innovation, and creativity of the entrepreneurial community.
The institute said that collaboration was a key theme with events connecting aspiring entrepreneurs with mentors and unicorn founders. Events such as Industry Round Table, Start-up Eco Meet, Startup Samvad, and Unicorn House aimed to bridge the gap between aspiring entrepreneurs and successful founders and eminent personalities.
Speaking about the festival, the vice chairman of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Abhay Jere, said: “Parul University is doing a great job with this Vadodara Startup Festival by creating wonderful opportunities for students and aspiring entrepreneurs.”

Vadodara Startup Festival 4.0 highlights
As per the institute, the Vadodara Startup Festival 4.0 featured more than 10 unicorn startup founders, over 70 speakers, in addition to 100 industry leaders, 50 investors, and 250 startup founders. The institute’s incubated startup, Dori handcrafts secured funding of Rs 20 lack in VSF. Additionally, a total of 14 teams received cumulative funding of 21 lacs for their idea-stage startups.
The three-day festival saw participation from various individuals and startup founders who shared with the students some valuable insights and advice on how to navigate the world of entrepreneurship and innovation, the official press release read.
Speaking about the event, the president of Parul University, said: “We’re thrilled to witness the energy and enthusiasm associated with our Vadodara Startup Festival 4.0. The event not only celebrates entrepreneurship but also serves as a platform to provide resources and facilities to nurture the next generation of innovators.”
