Pondicherry University PhD registration last date extended to July 10; three courses added

PU Entrance Exam 2023: PhD programmes in Hindi, Tourism Studies and English are now also included for the academic year 2023-24 for admission.
NEW DELHI: Pondicherry University has extended the last date for the registration of application form for PhD admission 2023-24 through PU entrance examination to July 10. Candidates will be able to submit the application form for admission to PhD programmes through the official website, pondiuni.edu.in.
Applicants who could not complete the Pondicherry University PhD application form 2023 and those who wish to apply as fresh candidates will be able to register before July 10. Earlier, the PU PhD admission 2023 registration deadline was June 28; however, it has been extended by 12 days.
Further, the PhD programmes in Hindi, Tourism Studies and English are now also included for the academic year 2023-24.

As per the selection criteria, 70% weightage will be given to the PhD entrance exam conducted by the Pondicherry University and 30% weightage for interview and academic record.
Applicants under general category will have to pay Rs 1,000 and SC, ST should make a payment of Rs 500.
How to apply PU PhD admission 2023
Students will be able to submit the application form by following the steps given below.
- Visit the Pondicherry University official website, pondiuni.edu.in.
- Check for the PhD admission 2023 link on the homepage.
- Click on the “Registration” link on the right corner.
- Enter a valid email address to generate a password.
- Now login again using the credentials generated.
- Fill the application form and enter personal and academic details.
- Make application fee payment through online mode.
- Download the confirmation page of application form submission.
