Professor Archana Shukla appointed director-in-charge of IIM Lucknow

IIM Lucknow director will perform duties as director-in-charge until the appointment of a regular director.
NEW DELHI : Professor Archana Shukla has been appointed as the director-in-charge of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow. The professor will take charge on April 4. The chairperson of board of governors at IIM Lucknow, N Chandrasekaran, made the appointment. Professor Shukla will remain the director-in-charge of the IIM until a regular director is appointed.
The institute informed that professor Shukla is the senior most faculty member of IIM Lucknow and her appointment has been done as per Clause (9) of IIM Act 2017.
Professor Shukla has a specialization in human resource management at IIM Lucknow and over three decades of teaching and research expertise. She received a PhD degree in psychology from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur. She was the inaugural chairperson of the Dr Ishwar Dayal Chair for Futuristic Issues in the Behavioral Sciences from 2015 to 2017. Additionally, Professor Shukla has authored a book, numerous papers, and several case studies in the fields of knowledge management, organizational adaptation, and organizational structure.
IIM Lucknow was established in 1984 and is the fourth IIM in the country. The institute is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and Association of MBAs (AMBA). It is also consistently ranked amongst top management institutes in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) rankings.
IIM Lucknow was the first IIM to start a two-year full time MBA programme in sustainable management eight years ago. It also offers a long-standing full-time MBA in Agri Business Management.
The centres for excellence at IIM Lucknow including the Centre for Public Policy, Centre for Food and Agribusiness Management, Centre for Business Sustainability, Centre for Marketing in Emerging Economies, carry out evidence-based research and interventions in public policy and management practice. Faculty of IIM Lucknow also featured in top 2% of global scientists for research output and impact.
