PU LLB result 2025 declared on results.puexam.in, tie-breaking criteria, qualifying marks

Panjab University (PU) has declared the results for PU LLB exam 2025. Law aspirants can check the results on the official exam portal: results.puexam.in. The university will publish a merit list of all candidates who scored at least 20% of marks in the entrance exam. The qualifying threshold for reserved categories is 15%.

The PU LLB exam was conducted for admission to three-year Bachelor of Laws (LLB) programmes. Candidates will be allotted seats in the following centres based on their merit in the exam.

• Department of laws, Panjab University, Chandigarh
• Panjab University Regional Centre, Muktsar
• University Institute of Laws (UIL), PU Regional Centre, Ludhiana.
• University Institute of Legal Studies, Swami Sarvanand Giri, PU Regional Centre, Hoshiarpur

Candidates can fill in the online admission form for the counselling process and pay registration fees till July 17. The registration fee for LLB counselling is Rs 300. For the admission confirmation, candidates need to submit original copies of educational certificates, character certificate, original ID, and category certificates, if applicable.

PU LLB Result 2025: Tie-breaking criteria

During Panjab University LLB admissions, if two or more candidates have the same entrance scores, the following criteria will be assessed to break the tie.

• Higher percentage of marks in qualifying examination (undergraduate degree)
• Higher percentage of marks in the immediate lower exam
• Seniority of age

The PU LLB entrance test will have 100% weightage for LLB admissions in Panjab University. There will be negative marking in the exam, with every correct answer being awarded one mark, and every wrong answer leading to the deduction of one-fourth mark. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Backward Classes (BC), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) will get a 5% relaxation in the PU LLB qualification marks.
