Punjab: These schools will impart education to the students in MBBS, IIT, MBA, and Law. Last date to apply for Punjab school admission is March 10.

NEW DELHI: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann launched an admission portal for 117 schools of eminence in the state. The chief minister said the initiative will enable the students to excel in the field of academics and reiterated the firm commitment of the state government to make Punjab a “frontrunner state in the field of education”.
Bhagwant Mann said that these “schools will act as catalysts to transform the lives of students by giving a new direction to their lives”. “The schools of eminence are equipped with the best class facilities and state of the art infrastructure to enable the students to compete across the globe,” he said.
“These schools will impart education to the students in the field of medical (MBBS), IIT, MBA and Law to ensure that they become active partners of the 21st century,” he added.

Last month the chief minister dedicated the schools of eminence to the people of the state. In line with that, 75% seats in the schools will be reserved for the students studying in the government schools whereas the remaining 25% seats will be reserved for the private schools.
He further said that the parents will be able to apply for their children’s admission through the admission portal, www.ePunjabschools.gov.in/school-eminence/, by March 10.
