Four people, 2 students and 2 security guards were injured and admitted to a hospital after a clash between some students and private security guards.

FATEHGARH: Four people were injured after a clash broke out between some students and private security guards at a college here on Wednesday, officials said.
Two students and two private security guards were injured in the incident and were admitted to Civil Hospital here for treatment, they said. The police have registered a case against unknown persons, officials said. The injured students from Bihar claimed that they were celebrating their friend's birthday in the hostel of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College, during which they were allegedly attacked by a group of local students and some security guards.

Meanwhile, Lovepreet Singh, a security guard of the college who was admitted in the hospital, said some students attacked them in a drunken state due to which their turbans fell off. However, the protesting students accused the security guards of being drunk.
Fatehgarh Sahib Fatehgarh Sahib SSP Ravjot Kaur Grewal and Deputy Commissioner Praneet Shergill reached the spot and spoke to the representatives of the protesting students. Interacting with mediapersons , college principal Dr Lakhveer Singh said a birthday party was going on in the boys' hostel of the college, during which some students had a dispute with the security personnel and others, which turned into a violent clash.
The SSP and the Deputy Commissioner claimed that the situation was under control and adequate police had been deployed in the college campus.
