PUTHAT 2020- Change in admission policy- no entrance exam

NEW DELHI: The University Institute of Hotel and Tourism Management responsible for conducting Panjab University Tourism and Hospitality Aptitude Test( PUTHAT) 2020 has cancelled the entrance examination this year due to prevailing covid-19 pandemic. Earlier the exam was scheduled to be conducted on October 16, 2020 but now the admission policy stands changed. The admission to the candidates will be granted directly on the basis of class 10+2 merit. The last date to fill the application form of PUTHAT is August 19, 2020 while the admission forms will be available on the oficial website from August 26, 2020.

About PUTHAT
The University Institute of Hotel and Tourism Management( UIHTM) conducts PUTHAT every year once. The exam is conducted to offer admissions to four year long BHMCT and BTTM programmes. However this year the exam stands cancelled due to covid-19. In 2020, the university is offering 60 seats for Indian citizens in BHMCT programme and 30 seats are available in bachelor of Tourism and Travel Management( BTTM) programme. Candidates can deposit the fee both in offline and online mode. In case of offline payment, the fee is to be deposited in any branch of State bank of India using a website generated challan. In online form, the fee can be paid via Credit/ Debit Card/ Net Banking.
