QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024: IIT Bombay, Delhi in top 50 universities in engineering category

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad has bagged rank 22 in the business and management studies category. Indian Institute of Bombay and IIT Delhi have been ranked joint 45th rank in engineering and technology category.

QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024 are dominated by universities in the USA and the UK. The rankings were released for five categories – Engineering and Technology, Arts and Humanities, Life Sciences and Medicine, Natural Sciences, and Social Science and Management. The top institutes in QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024: Engineering and Technology included Massachusetts Institutes of Technology (MIT), Stanford University, University of Oxford, University of Cambridge and University of california Berkeley (UCB), respectively. Six universities in the category were from the USA, four from the UK and two from Switzerland.
Harvard University topped the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024: Arts and Humanities. It was followed by Cambridge University, Oxford University, Stanford University and UCB, respectively. Seven US universities and three universities of the UK are in the top 10 institutes in the category.
The Life Sciences and Medicine category was topped by Harvard University. Oxford University, John Hopkins University, Stanford University and MIT were ranked 2, 3, 4, and 5, respectively.

In the Social Science and Management category, Harvard University, Oxford University, Stanford University, MIT and Cambridge University are the top five ranked institutes globally in the category.
Indian rankings
IIM Ahmedabad has performed the best among Indian institutes in any category. Globally it has been ranked 22 in the Business and Management Studies category. It has been ranked third in Asia in the category. IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay has been ranked in most categories
