IIT Delhi most sustainable in India as per QS World University Rankings Sustainability 2025
QS Sustainability Rankings 2025: Five IITs lead the top positions in India. Delhi University is at the sixth spot in the country and ranked 299 globally.

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi is the most sustainable university in India as per QS World University Rankings Sustainability 2025. Five IITs have secured the top spots in the QS rankings this year.
IIT Kharagpur , IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur , and IIT Madras are the four other best institutes in India for sustainability. 77 institutions from India have grabbed ranks in this year’s QS Sustainability Rankings 2025.
Delhi University has secured the 299th position globally in the QS World University Rankings 2025 for sustainability.
As per the methodology used to determine the rankings, the institutions are ranked based on environmental impact, social impact, and governance. The job preparedness (graduates view) indicator has been removed this year and its 1% weightage has been assigned to employer reputation.
