Ram Temple Ceremony: TIFR, IISER Mohali, IISER Thiruvananthapuram to remain closed till 2:30 pm today

Ram Temple Ceremony: Central educational institutes such as Jamia Millia Islamia and its schools along with Delhi University will also remain closed for half a day till 2.30 pm.
NEW DELHI: Several institutions such as Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Mohali and IISER Thiruvananthapuram issued a circular declaring a holiday today, on January 22, till 2:30 pm for employees to participate in the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony.
As part of the Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya, many public sector entities, including banks, insurance companies, financial institutions and regional rural banks, (RRBs) around the country will remain closed for half a day on January 22.
Numerous states, including Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Rajasthan, Odisha, etc., have decided to observe holidays on January 22 over this significant occasion.
According to the official notice of TFIR, "The Ram Lalla Pran Pratistha at Ayodhya will be celebrated on January 22, 2024, across India. To enable employees to participate in the celebration, it has been decided that TIFR, its Centres and field stations will be closed for half day till 2:30 pm on January 22, 2024”.

“On the occasion of the Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024, the government of India has decided that the first half of all central institutions on January 22, 2024, will be closed. Accordingly, the institute will open at 2:30 pm on January 22, 2024,” the IISER circular read.
Central government half-day closure
The Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT) issued an order mandating a half-day closure for central government establishments on Monday.
Many educational institutes, including Jamia Millia Islamia, Punjab University of Chandigarh, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Thiruvananthapuram, will also remain closed till 2.30 pm.
