REC celebrates Research, Consultancy, Publications and Patent Day

Rajalakshmi Engineering College celebrated the Research, Consultancy, Publications and Patent Day on April 4 to honour faculty members for their outstanding contribution.
NEW DELHI : Rajalakshmi Engineering College (REC) has celebrated the Research, Consultancy, Publications and Patent Day on April 4, 2022. The event was held to honour the college's faculty members for their contribution in Research, Consultancy, Publications and Patents. The faculty members are awarded with ‘Cash Awards’ as a token of appreciation for their astounding achievements.
In his felicitation address Mr. M. Abhay Shankar, Vice Chairman, Rajalakhmi Institutions said "That as faculty members we are in the vantage point to create a wonderful foundation for witnessing a knowledge revolution. He insisted on looking forward for more active research and to get more laurels in the upcoming years. He emphasized that the management is always supportive for the faculty members in all aspects of research”.
In his address Dr. C.R.Muthukrishnan, Advisor, Rajalakshmi Institutions said “Research is an important component of a faculty for professional competence. It sets the path of research. Research is a lifelong endeavor and every project is an opportunity. It implies several minds pouring inputs to culminate good publications. As faculty members we should keep our effort and focus abreast in the field and spend time in a continuous learning mode. We should look around us perceptively. A small impact would make a vast and dramatic change in our lives”.
Awardees of 3 Patents grant were specially honoured with a cash prize of Rs.1 Lakh during the award ceremony.

Dr. S. Geetha and Dr. M. Selvakumar, Professor, Civil Engineering Department for inventing the “Grinding Waste from Automobile Industry as a Potential Construction Material”.

Dr. V. Gayathri, Associate Professor and Dr. Johanna Rajkumar, Dean and Professor, Biotechnology Department for inventing the “Guava Leaf Extract - Stored Food Grain Insecticide”.
Rajalakshmi Engineering College has conducted this felicitation programme to encourage and motivate their faculty members so that they can consistently excel in filing more patents. The award ceremony was celebrated with grandeur in the presence of the teaching fraternity of Rajalakshmi Engineering College.
