Registrations open for Delhi Schools of Specialised Excellence; Know dates and eligibility
Delhi Government has started the registration for Delhi Schools of Specialised Excellence. Apply by August 19, 2021.

NEW DELHI: The Directorate of Education (DoE), Delhi Government, has started the registration process for Schools of Specialized Excellence (SoSEs). The last date for registration in SoSEs is August 19, 2021. Students can apply online through the official website, edudel.nic.in/sose.

Applications are invited for the 20 operational schools. The admission test for these 20 schools will be conducted between August 23 and 29, 2021. 50 percent of the seats in these schools is to be filled by the students of government schools.

Delhi Schools of Specialised Excellence - Eligibility

Students must be residents of Delhi.

Students from both government and recognised private schools are eligible to apply.

For admissions in Class 11 - a minimum 75% aggregate in Class 10.

For admission in Class 9 - a minimum 60% aggregate in Class 8.

Reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC (non creamy layer)/CWSN as per the policy of the Delhi Government.
SoSEs are affiliated with the Delhi Board of School Education (DBSE). These are choice-based schools for Classes 9 to 12, in which students can choose their fields of study. The main domains of study under SoSEs are Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), Humanities, Performing and Visual Arts, High-End 21st Century Skills. Recently, the Delhi Government has announced that schools affiliated with DBSE will follow the International Baccalaureate (IB) board curriculum .
