RRB Group D 2022 from February 23: Five major changes in this year's exam

In a major change, the railway board has decided to conduct RRB Group D 2022 two stages of computer-based tests due to a large number of applications.
NEW DELHI: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) announced major changes in this year’s RRB Group D 2022 exam. As per the latest notice, the RRB Group D exam is scheduled to be held from February 23, 2022. In a major change, the railway boards have decided to conduct two stages of computer-based tests (CBTs) due to a large number of applications. A total of 1,15,67,248 applications were received by the board at rrbcdg.gov.in for RRB Group D 2022, as per reports.
Apart from conducting the exam in two stages, the board has also made changes in the formula of marks normalization.

RRB Group D 2022: 5 major changes
1. RRB Group D exam to be held in two stages - CBT 1 and CBT 2 - due to large number of registrations. CBT 1 from February 23- The board announced the RRB Group D exam date and informed candidates that the exam will be conducted in multiple phases, subject to the prevailing Covid-19 pandemic situation and government guidelines. CBT 2 (New)- Shortlisted candidates will have to appear for the second round of CBT. Candidates must notes that the RRB Group D 2022 CBT 2 syllabus will be Class 10, the same as CBT 1.
2. 15 times more candidates will be passed than the notified vacancy in RRB Group D CBT 1.
3. Number of candidates to be called for document verification - Earlier, only 1.05 times (5% beyond the number of notified vacancies) the number of vacancies will be called for document verification as per their merit and options. As per the new rule, based on the performance of candidates in CBT 2 subject to their qualifying in physical test (PET), the number of candidates to be called for document verification will be equal to the number of notified vacancies.
4. The designation of “Assistant Pointsman” in RRB Group D exam has been changed to “Pointsman”.
5. Calculation of normalized marks for multi-session papers - The formula has been modified as mentioned below and will be adopted for normalization.
