RRB NTPC Recruitment 2025: Notification out for 8,875 posts in Indian Railways; eligibility, selection process

Candidates appearing for the RRB NTPC 2025 exam will be selected on the basis of Computer-Based Test 1 and CBT 2 exams, followed by a skill test or typing or aptitude test.
The Railways Recruitment Board (RRB) has published the notification for the RRB NTPC recruitment drive 2025 to fill a total of 8,875 vacancies. Of which 5,814 posts have been announced for graduate level, while 3,058 for undergraduate level positions.
The RRB Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) recruitment 2025 exam will be conducted for various posts in the Indian Railways such as assistant station master, traffic assistant, commercial apprentice, traffic apprentice, goods guard, and others.
Candidates who will appear for the RRB NTPC 2025 exam will be selected on the basis of Computer-Based Test 1 and CBT 2 exams, followed by a skill test or typing or aptitude test.
Notably, the selected candidates will receive salaries on the basis of the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) with salaries ranging from Rs 19,900 to Rs 35,400.

As per the marking scheme, there will be a 0.25 marks deduction for each incorrect response in both CBT 1 and 2.
The exam pattern for the RRB NTPC recruitment test 2025 includes a screening test (CBT 1) for a duration of 90 minutes. The total questions will include 100, including 40 from general awareness, and 30 each from mathematics and general intelligence and reasoning.
CBT 2, on the other hand, will have 120 questions with the same exam duration as CBT 1. This will have 50 questions from general awareness, and 35 each from mathematics, general intelligence and reasoning.
