RRB Recruitment 2018: Second chance to 70,000 rejected applicants

NEW DELHI, JULY 19: Railways Recruitment Board s (RRB s ) has decided to give another chance to 70,000 candidates whose application forms were r ejected due to some or the other problem in the upload ed photo graphs. Around 1.27 lakh application forms had some or the other problems but o ut of the 1.27 lakh ineligible a pplications, the RRB has decided to give a second chance to only 70,000 applicants. Another 57,000 applications were internally reviewe d, however, in th e se applications no changes from the applicants' side are required . The errors in these application forms have been rectified by the RRB itself.
These candidates now have been asked to make corrections in their photographs and upload them again as per the required specifications by 11.59 pm on July 20, 2018.
An official notification by Ministry of Railways read s , “ A s an exceptional measure, RRBs have decided to give a one-time opportunity to those candidates, whose photographs have not been found valid, to modify their photographs. Candidates may either login to the application status link on the website of RRBs or through the link available in the email sent to them and upload proper passport size photograph as per requirements specified in Para 14.1(h) of CEN 01/2018 latest by 23.59 hrs of 20.07.2018.”

This year, the RRBs has received around 2.27 crore applications for 1.10 lakh vacancies. The Indian Railways will fill up over one lakh vacant posts by March-April next year.
