"It is clarified that it is fake news and there is no such plan on the agenda of the CBSE," The board has said in a circular issued on Thursday. The CBSE, administered by the education ministry, already conducted board exams for Class 10 and 12 for schools affiliated to it across the country.
The circular says that students should not “believe any such information” that is circulating on social media but not available on the board website. "Board issues all information on its website first. Hence, information available only on board's website is [authentic]," says the circular signed by CBSE’s controller of examinations, Sanyam Bhardwaj.
The CBSE announced the results for Class 12 in July but the results were based on an alternative assessment scheme. The exams themselves were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The CBSE Class 10 results were declared on August 3. CSBE has decided to conduct the board exams for 2021-22 in two parts, dividing the academic year into two parts.
