SASTRA University: BTech admission through JEE Main, Class 12 scores
Admissions to the BTech programmes at SASTRA University will be conducted across its Thanjavur and Kumbakonam campuses only through the following categories:
- Admission through JEE Main and Class 12 score: Admission to 50% of the seats will be based on a combination of normalised aggregate Class 12 scores and Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE) Main 2025 scores, with equal weightage of 50% each. Seats will be allotted based on the ranks secured by candidates.
- Admission through Class 12 score: The remaining 50% of the seats will be allocated based on the normalised aggregate Class 12 scores awarded by the respective boards. A rank list will be prepared based on these scores, and admissions will be offered accordingly.
If an applicant has not appeared for JEE Main, their JEE Main score will be considered as zero, while their Class 12 aggregate will still carry 50% weightage in the combined score. However, the Class 12 marks will have 100% weightage. This ensures that every applicant is automatically considered under both admission criteria.
