SBI PO Exam 2026: Candidates will be selected for SBI PO posts after clearing three rounds of selection process, including preliminary, mains exams, and interview.
The State Bank of India has opened applications for Probationary Officer (PO) posts. Eligible candidates can apply for SBI Bank PO posts through the official website at sbi.bank.in by July 8.

The state bank will fill a total of 1,500 PO posts through the SBI Bank PO recruitment drive. Candidates will be given job offers after clearing three phases of the selection process, including preliminary exam, mains and interview.
The SBI Bank PO preliminary examination will contain 100 questions with 100 marks and the test will be held for a duration of one hour.

SBI PO Recruitment 2026: Eligibility, fee, select process
General, Economically Weaker Section (EWS), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) category candidates should have to pay Rs 750 as SBI PO application fee.
Those belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) do not have to pay any fee to submit the SBI PO application form.
As per the eligibility criteria, candidates must have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university or equivalent qualification recognised as such by the central government.
Notably, those in their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply and if called for an interview, they have to show the proof of passing graduation on or before September 30, 2026.

SBI PO Preliminary exam marking scheme
The age limit criteria says that candidates should be between 21 and 30 years of age as of April 1, 2026. After the preliminary examination, SBI will announce category-wise merit list on the basis of the aggregate marks scored in the preliminary exam.
There will be no sectional cut-off in preliminary examination and candidates numbering 10 times of the numbers of vacancies in each category will be shortlisted for mains exam.
The marking scheme in the SBI preliminary examination states that candidates will be given one mark for each correct answer, while 1/4 marks will be deducted for each wrong response.
No marks will be taken away for not answering a question or unanswered questions.
