SBI PO Recruitment 2024: Notification out for 600 vacancies; registration begins tomorrow

NEW DELHI: State Bank of India (SBI) has issued the Probationary Officer (PO) recruitment 2024-25 notification. As per the official notification, the SBI PO 2025 registration process will begin from tomorrow, December 27. Interested and eligible candidates will be able to submit the SBI PO 2024 application form by visiting the official website, sbi.co.in.

As per the SBI PO official notification 2024-25, there are a total of 600 vacancies. The last date to submit the SBI PO 2024 application form is January 16. Candidates will be required to pay an application fee to complete the SBI PO recruitment 2024 registration process. Candidates belonging to the General, Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Weaker Section (EWS) are required to pay Rs 750. Whereas, candidates belonging to scheduled caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe, Person with Disabilities are not required to pay SBI PO 2024 application fee.

SBI PO 2024 Notification Out: Selection process

The SBI PO 2024 selection process consists of three stages- Prelims, Main, and psychometric test. The SBI PO 2024 prelims exam will be held on March 8 and 15. The call letters for SBI PO prelims exam will be issued in the third or fourth week of February 2025. The SBI PO 2024 Main exam will be held in April or May 2025. The SBI PO 2024 final merit list will be prepared using main exam and phase 3 (group exercise and interview) scores.

SBI PO 2024 Recruitment: Prelims exam

The SBI PO 2024 preliminary exam will consist of objective type questions. There will be a total of 100 questions divided into three sections English Language, quantitative aptitude, reasoning ability. The duration of the SBI PO 2024 prelims exam is 1 hour. The SBI PO 2024 prelims exam will carry a total of 100 marks. One-fourth of the marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

SBI PO Recruitment 2024: Main exam

The SBI PO 2024 main exam comprise of two parts- objective and descriptive tests. The SBI PO 2024 main objective exam carries a total of 200 marks. The paper will comprise of questions from several topics such as reasoning and computer aptitude, data Analysis and Interpretation, general awareness, economy, banking knowledge, and English language. The SBI PO 2024 main objection paper will carry a total of 200 marks. The duration of the paper is 3 hours. One-fourth of the marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in SBI PO mains 2024 exam.

The SBI PO 2024 Main descriptive paper carries 50 marks and will test communication skills and English language proficiency. The duration of the paper will be 30 minutes and carries 50 marks.

SBI PO 2024: Psychometric test, group exercises, and interview

The third and final phase of the SBI PO 2024 selection process comprises of psychometric test. This test evaluates the candidate's personality traits, behavior, and psychological compatibility.

Group exercises: Allocated a weightage of 20 marks, these exercises assess a candidate’s ability to work collaboratively in a team setting, demonstrate leadership, and effectively communicate ideas during group discussions or problem-solving tasks.

Personal interview: Carrying a weightage of 30 marks, the interview evaluates the candidate’s knowledge, confidence, communication skills, and overall fit for the role.
