A local newspaper report today claimed a 'fake website' was created under the Kerala Board of Public Examinations' name to offer SSLC and Plus Two courses and conduct exams. The minister’s office has asked the DGP to investigate and take legal action.
Nine youths, including a minor, were arrested in the case and sent to judicial custody by the court. After counselling and persuasion by the parents, the survivor, a student of Class 11, sat for her annual examinations.
The teachers also started beating students for other reasons, such as enjoying some lighter moments or not studying properly, the FIR said. To stop the students from going out, the teachers used to keep the premises locked.
"This has the precedence from previous MoD (Ministry of Defence) activations during yearly national events (Republic Day and Independence Day celebrations) (sic)," as per the official order.
The government has taken a "bold and historic" step by approving the Delhi School Education Transparency in Fixation and Regulation of Fees Bill, 2025, the CM said.
