SDMIMD, Mysuru hosts European Business Analytics Institute’s Winter School programme on' AI for good'

NEW DELHI: Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development (SDMIMD), Mysuru hosted the Winter School programme of the European Business Analytics Institute, France. The programme was held at the SDMIMD campus from February 1 to February 10, 2023.
The theme of the Winter School programme was “AI for Good”, which entailed discussions on Ethical AI, AI for social good and a workshop on machine learning tools.
The programme was attended by company executives and students selected from various European universities. Besides students from Belgium, Switzerland, France and Ukraine, ten Indian students from SDMIMD were selected to attend the programme.

The SDMIMD official release reads: "As part of this programme, the participants visited Dharmasthala and interacted with Dr D Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari about Rural Development, Micro Finance, and Health Care Programmes of SDM Trust. The participants of the programme developed use cases for leveraging AI for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of Healthcare, Education and Rural Development."
The resource persons for the programme included Dr Lee Schlenker and Professor Davy Cielen from Business Analytics Institute, Professor Christian Hitz from Zurich University and Professor Mohamed Minhaj from SDMIMD, Mysuru.
