Officials of the institution informed that the HPC cluster will be utilised in many research areas, including engineering, physics, chemistry, artificial intelligence (AI) etc. The press release issued by the institution stated that the HPC can simulate physical phenomena, analyze and process large datasets, and develop new algorithms and software. It further mentioned that the cluster's all such characteristics will allow the students to gain hands-on experience with advanced computing technologies and simulate real-world scenarios.

The institution's vice-chancellor, Ananya Mukherjee said: "We are delighted to offer our faculty and students access to the new HPC cluster. With this advanced system, our researchers can perform complex simulations, more easily analyse large data sets and enhance their research. The facility represents a significant investment in research at our institution. We hope that our research will continue to impact the world in a meaningful way".
