Shiv Nadar University to organise 7-day residential summer school programme

NEW DELHI: Shiv Nadar University, Delhi-NCR, will be organisingthe ‘Young Thinkers Forum (YFT) Summer School Programme 2024’ and ‘Shiv Nadar Internship Programme 2024’ . The programme will be held for students of Classes 8 to 12 at its campus from June 1 to June 7.
Vinnie Mathur, chair of the Young Thinkers Forum at Shiv Nadar University, Delhi NCR said, “Building on the tremendous success of our previously held Winter School Program, we are eagerly anticipating the upcoming 7-Day residential Summer School Program. The winter program exceeded our expectations, with students demonstrating remarkable growth, enthusiasm, and a deepened passion for learning. This summer, we aim to elevate the experience even further by offering an expanded curriculum and a wider array of activities. Our carefully curated curriculum and activities are designed to challenge and inspire students, fostering both academic growth and personal development. We are confident that this program will provide an invaluable opportunity for students to explore their interests, develop new skills, and create lasting memories”.
Exploring diverse fields
According to the official press release, throughout the weeklong program, students will delve into liberal arts, management, engineering, and sciences, gaining comprehensive insights into various areas of study. The certified program will emphasize immersive learning, enriched with academic enhancement, cultural exploration, and recreational activities. As per the data shared, approximately 100 students from across the nation are participating in the YFT Summer School Programme 2024.
Recreational activities and masterclasses
The press release stated that, the upcoming 4th edition of the '7-day' residential school program will integrate academic pursuits with interactive activities, fostering mentorship and peer collaboration. The program will feature laboratory sessions, masterclasses covering various topics such as AI, archaeology, creative writing, economics, STEM subjects, sustainability, and entrepreneurship, along with recreational options like sports, yoga, calligraphy, pottery, horse riding, gala nights, and quizzes, ensuring students remain engaged and motivated throughout the program.
Field trips
In addition to the main activities, participants will have the opportunity to visit an organic farm and KNMA museum, where the students will attend an eco-friendly workshop on the occasion of World Environment Day on June 5.
Participants of the summer school programme will reside on Delhi NCR campus. Students will also have the chance to engage with guest lecturers from a range of professions, who will impart their knowledge and experiences to the students. The program will conclude with an interactive session facilitated by the HCL Foundation, KNMA and Atal Incubation Centres (AIC).
