SRCC first cut off analysis 2020 – Commerce records 1 percent higher cutoff, Economics up by .25 percent

NEW DELHI: With the release of the first cut off of Delhi University, Shri Ram College Of Commerce (SRCC) has recorded 1 percent higher cut off for B.Com (Hons.) and .25 percent higher cut off for BA (Hons.) Economics this year as compared to last year. According to the official DU cut off data 2020 for SRCC, B.Com (Hons.) cutoff stood at 99.50 percent, while the cut off for BA (Hons.) Economics has been 99 percent for the unreserved category.
This means that the admission competition for these courses at SRCC has gone tougher this time.
B. Com. (Hons.) cutoff for ST/KM and SC rise significantly
Out of all the categories for SRCC Commerce cut off at the college, ST and KM witnessed the maximum rise in cut off - 4.50 percent, followed by SC – 2.75 %, PwBD – 2% and EWS recording a rise of DU cut off of .50 percent.
B. A. (Hons.) Economics cut off for ST, SC jumps significantly
In B. A. (Hons.) Economics, ST and SC categories reflect the biggest jump in cut off percentage. The cut off for ST rose by 3.25 percent, while for the SC category, the SRCC cut off for this course went up by 2.50 percent. In 2019, while SRCC Economics Honours cut off for ST and SC categories was 92.50 and 94.50 percent respectively, it escalated to 95.75 and 97 percent respectively. The SRCC cutoff for OBC has recorded a rise of 1 percent in cutoff over the previous year.

BA (Hons.) Economics registers a dip in cut off for EWS, KM
Further, the data reflects that SRCC B.Com. (Hons.) cut off 2020 for all the other categories too have gone up, however, for BA (Hons.) Economics, the SRCC 2020 cut off for EWS and Kashmiri Migrants (KM) categories has seen a dip. BA (Hons.) Economics cut off for EWS in 2020 is 97.75 percent, while the cutoff for same category last year at the college was 98.25 percent. This means the DU cut off for EWS at SRCC has registered a fall of .50 percent this year.
The DU first cut off for BA (Hons.) Economics (Kashmiri Migrants) at SRCC has gone down by 1.50 percent. In 2019, while the KM cut off for BA (Hons.) Economics at SRCC was 95.50 percent, it stood at 94 percent in 2020.
