SSC CGL 2022 post preference facility to open from April 27; submit options at ssc.nic.in

SSC CGL: Candidates who appeared in the tier 2 exam will have to submit option-cum-preference by May 1 through the official website, ssc.nic.in.
NEW DELHI: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced that the facility to opt for a preferred post for SSC Combined Graduate Level Examination 2022 (SSC CGL) will be opened on April 27. Candidates who appeared in the SSC CGL tier 2 exam will have to submit option-cum-preference by May 1 through the official website, ssc.nic.in.
The commission conducted the SSC CGL tier 2 exam from March 2 to 7. The tier 1 was held on December 1 to 13, 2022. The results for CGL tier 1 was declared on February 9 on the official website.
“Candidates who fail to exercise their Option-cum-Preference(s) during the aforesaid period, shall not be given any further opportunity for submission of their Option-cum-Preference(s) and such candidates will not be considered for inclusion in the final merit list/final selection.”
“PwBD candidates must ensure that they give preference for only those posts which are identified as suitable for their disabilities. Allocation of posts will be made as per the provisions of the Notice of Examination on the basis of 'merit-cum-preference of posts.” it added.

Aspirants will have to login through the candidate portal, wherein a tab for submission of option-cum-preferences for posts or departments will be activated. The link will remain active till May 1.
SSC CGL 2022: How to submit preference option
Candidates can follow the steps given below to opt their preferred posts.
- Visit the SSC official website, ssc.nic.in.
- Login through the candidate login window.
- Enter registration number and password.
- Now select the preferred posts or departments as per the eligibility.
- Submit the option-cum-preference form.
- Download or save the confirmation page for future reference.
