Staff Selection Commission: SSC CGLE 2025 tier 2 skill test will be held on January 19 and is mandatory for all posts.
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will conduct the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGLE 2025) tier 2 exam today for more than 1.40 lakh candidates. SSC CGLE 2025 tier 2 skill test will be held on January 19. Only those who qualified for tier 1 are called for the stage 2 selection process.

A total of 6,196 candidates qualified for JSO, 2,781 for SI grade 2, and 1,31,027 for other posts to appear in the tier 2 exam and data entry skill test .
Recently, SSC revised the SSC CGLE result 2025 , and cut-offs for other posts after receiving several representations from candidates claiming their name is not featured in the given lists of qualified candidates despite having the required cut-offs. SSC cited 'inadvertent error' in the lists of qualified candidates.
SSC CGL 2025: Resolution of tie cases
For candidates appearing in the tier-2 exam, their merit will be decided by applying the following criteria, one after another in the given order, till the tie is resolved:
- Marks scored in Paper-II of Tier-II Examination for the posts of JSO, SI grade 2, if applicable.
- Marks scored in Section-I of Paper-I of Tier-II Examination.
- Date of birth, with older candidate placed higher.
- Alphabetical order in which the names of the candidates appear.

SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Pattern 2025
SSC CGL tier 2 exam will conduct paper 1 and 2 on separate days and shifts. Paper 1 is compulsory for all posts, while Paper 2 will be for those candidates who apply for JSO posts and the SI Grade 2 exam.
