SSC GD Constable 2026 registration begins; 25,487 vacancies, exam in February-April

SSC Constable GD 2026 Exam Date: The last date to submit applications is December 31. CISF and CRPF have the highest number of vacancies.
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has opened the registrations for the SSC Constable GD in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and SSF, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2026. The SSC GD Constable application form 2026 will be available on the official website, ssc.gov.in, until December 31.
As per the tentative schedule announced by the commission, the SSC GD Constable exam 2026 will be conducted between February and April 2026. Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in computer-based test (CBT), physical standard test (PST), physical efficiency test (PET), medical examination and document verification.
Shortlisted candidates will be recruited for the posts of Constable (General Duty) in Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), and Secretariat Security Force (SSF), and Rifleman (General Duty) in Assam Rifles (AR).

The pay scale for all posts is pay level-3 ranging between Rs 21,700 to Rs 69,100. A total of 25,487 vacancies will be filled through the SSC Constable GD exam 2026, of which the highest is 14,595 in CISF and 5,490 in CRPF.
All those who have passed matriculation or Class 10 exam from a recognised board will be eligible to appear for the recruitment.
As per the age limit, candidates must be 18-23 years of age as on January 1, 2026. Candidates born before January 2, 2003 and after January 1, 2008 are not eligible.
Applicants will have to pay Rs 100 as the registration fee. However, women, SC, ST, and ex-servicemen are exempted from paying the application fee.
