SSC GD constable 2026 application deadline on December 31: Commission

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will close registration for Constable (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and SSF, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2026 on December 31. Candidates can apply for SSC GD Constable 2026 on the official website, ssc.gov.in/.
The application fee is Rs 100, however, women, SC, ST and ex-servicemen are exempted from paying the application fee. SSC GD constable exam 2026 will be conducted between February and April 2026.
“Candidates are further cautioned that no extension of the last date for submission of application shall be granted under any circumstances,” the official SSC notice reads.
Candidates appearing for the exam will be shortlisted for SSC recruitment based on their performance in computer-based test (CBT), physical standard test (PST), physical efficiency test (PET), medical examination and document verification round.
SSC GD constable recruitment 2025 aims to fill a total of 25,487 vacancies, of which the highest is 14,595 in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and 5,490 in Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). Also, the pay scale for all posts ranges between Rs 21,700 and Rs 69,100.

While applying for the SSC GD Constable exam 2026, candidates should keep their disability certificate number, Aadhaar Card, an active mobile phone number, and email ID, as well as a valid photo identity proof and academic details, handy.
