SSC GD 2026 exam dates out for CAPFs, SSF, Assam Rifles; submit week preferences by April 15

SSC GD Exams 2026: Candidates can submit their exam week preferences from today, 3 pm onwards; CGL tier 2 skill test for April 10 shift 2 rescheduled after technical glitches
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the SSC GD exam dates 2026 for the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), the SSF, and the Assam Rifles. SSC will conduct GD exams from April 27 to May 30. The commission has advised candidates to submit their exam week preferences from today, 3 pm onwards.
The last date to submit the SSC GD 2026 exam week preference is April 15. Candidates can enter their preferences for all available windows at their convenience.
“In continuation of the Commission’s efforts to streamline examination processes and enhance candidate convenience, an option to exercise ‘preference for weeks’ will be provided to candidates appearing in the said examination,” the official SSC notice said.
As per the official SSC notice, candidates will have to log in to their accounts using their credentials and enter their preferences for the exam windows provided.

SSC will conduct the exams over four weeks, as shown in the table below.

SSC CGL 2026 tier 2 skill test rescheduled
Due to technical difficulties, the SSC has cancelled the CGLE tier 2 skill test for the April 10 shift 2. The re-exam for the skill test has now been rescheduled to April 22. Candidates will be able to download the admit card for the rescheduled exam on April 17.
“The candidates who had been exempted from the skill test or typing test conducted on April 10, shift 2, will continue to be exempted from the test being conducted on April 22,” the SSC notice adds.
