NEW DELHI: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued an important advisory for candidates on the correct procedure for uploading photographs and signatures when applying for various posts.The advisory highlights common errors that frequently result in the rejection of these documents.

Candidates can check the SSC advisory for uploading photographs and signatures while applying for different vacancies through the official website, ssc.gov.in.

SSC guidelines for uploading photograph

The notice outlines five reasons why photographs may be rejected, including:

  • Lack of a plain background
  • Wearing caps in the photo
  • Taking the photo without a shirt
  • Insufficient brightness in the image
  • Blurred photographs.

Signature guidelines

The notice states that "miniature" signatures are a common reason for rejection. Candidates are advised to cut out the box and sign within it, making sure that the signature occupies at least 80% of the space. The notice includes examples of both correct and incorrect signature submissions.

SSC MTS application correction 2024 begins

Meanwhile, the commission has opened the online application correction facility for the Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) recruitment exam today, August 16. Candidates who filled out the SSC MTS application form 2024 can edit it through the official website at ssc.gov.in. The last date to make corrections in the SSC MTS 2024 application form is August 17.

The SSC MTS 2024 exam is scheduled to be held from September 30 to November 14 in multiple shifts across the country. Candidates will have to enter their login credentials such as application number and password to log in and make changes in the SSC MTS application form 2024.
