SSC Steno Grade C exam registration deadline extended till October 3
Candidates can apply for SSC Stenographer Grade C department exam for the recruitment year 2018, 2019 at ssc.nic.in.

NEW DELHI: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has extended the last date to register for Grade C exam 2018, 2019 till October 3. Candidates who have not registered yet can apply for the Grade C stenographers limited departmental exam on the official website, ssc.nic.in.

Earlier, the last date to register for the exam was September 25. The commission took the decision as some candidates were facing issues in filling the online application form.
“As some difficulties in filling up of online application form have been reported to the Commission by the candidates, the Commission has decided to extend the last date for receipt of online application form from 25.09.2023 to 03.10.2023. Therefore, the last date of receipt of online application form of Grade ‘C’ Stenographers Limited Departmental Competitive Examination, 2018 & 2019 shall be 03.10.2023,” SSC said in an official notice.
Applicants will be required to submit the following documents at the time of registration:
- Certified true copy of the first page of the service book duly attested by the head of department or head of office in which the candidate is employed.
- Copy of certificate of essential educational qualification.
- Specimen signature of the candidate.
- Certified true copy of the particulars of service attested by the head of department or head of office in which the candidate is working.
- Form of certificate for disabled defence personnel while in service.
- Certificate of disability in case of PwBD candidates.
SSC Stenographer Grade C notification was released on September 4. SSC will hold the exam for a total of 224 vacancies for the recruitment year 2018 and 160 vacancies for 2019. The exam will be held in Delhi for adding more candidates to the list of Grade C stenographers in the following services:
- Central Secretariat stenographers services
- Indian Foreign Service Branch (B) stenographers
- Armed Forces headquarters stenographers service
- Railway Board secretariat stenographers service
- Election Commission of India stenographers service
