NEW DELHI: The Ministry of Education had on January 19 announced that the syllabus of NEET 2021 will remain unchanged for this academic year. However, unlike previous years, students will be given a choice to answer the questions of NEET 2021. On January 18, in a live webinar Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' said that "The students will only have to study the revised syllabus for their CBSE board exams, while for NEET 2021, questions will be asked from the reduced syllabus." Both the statements have put the medical aspirant in confusion about the new NEET 2021 syllabus.

As per the NEET 2021 updates, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has not released any notice regarding the new syllabus of NEET 2021, however, the new NEET exam pattern is expected to be released soon.

“The syllabus of JEE and NEET will remain the same as the previous year. However, unlike previous years, the candidates will have options to answer the questions in JEE and NEET examinations," according to the official statement.

Further, the press release stated that “The exact pattern for NEET (UG) 2021 is yet to be announced. However, in view of reduction of syllabus by some boards across the country, the NEET (UG) 2021 question paper will also have options on the lines of JEE (Main).”

About NEET 2021

Through NEET-UG 2021, admission will be granted to 80,055 MBBS, 26,949 BDS, 50,720 AYUSH, and 525 veterinary seats. Admission to 1,899 AIIMS MBBS and 249 JIPMER MBBS seats will also be granted through NEET 2021. Authorities have yet not announced the NEET 2021 exam date and as of now, it is expected to be conducted in offline mode.
