NEW DELHI: The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) begins the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA 2023) registration today. Aspirants who wish to pursue BTech courses in Tamil Nadu engineering colleges will have to register on the TNEA official website, tneaonline.org.
The TNEA resgistration began on the same date when TN 12th results were announced last year. This year, the board scheduled to declare the Tamil Nadu 12th result 2023 on May 5, which was later postponed to May 8 due to the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET UG 2023).
Careers360 contacted the TNEA helpline to confirm the Tamil Nadu Engineering admission registration date and the officials informed that “the application process will begin today afternoon (May 5)”.
As per the eligibility criteria, general category candidates who have scored 45% in Class 12 exam and OBC, SC, ST and others who secured 40% from a recognised board will be eligible for the BTech counselling.
A total of 440 engineering colleges in the state will be offering approximately 1.5 lakh engineering seats.
The TNEA cut-off 2023 will be released based on the Class 12 performance of students, number of seats available, cut-off past trends among various other factors. Those candidates who are eligible as per the cut-off announced will be called for TNEA counselling 2023.
In the first step, candidates will have to register as per the marks secured in Tamil Nadu DGE Class 12th 2023 exams.
