Teacher’s Day 2021: Maharashtra students share quotes, drawing under #ThankATeacher initiative

Maharashtra education minister Varsha Gaikwad initiated a campaign “thank a teacher” asking students to share quotes, drawing, poems, speeches, etc. for teachers.
NEW DELHI: Maharashtra education minister Varsha Gaikwad announced teacher appreciation week from September 2 to September 7 and started an initiative named #ThankATeacher on Twitter to celebrate Teacher’s Day 2021 on September 5.
Under the initiative, the congress-led education minister asked students to share videos, poems, pictures, etc. paying a tribute to their teachers. Several students have come forward to share their heartfelt wishes, appreciations, and thoughts for the teachers using the hashtag #ThankATeacher on a page formed by the education department.

A Maharashtra teacher, Khurshid Sheikh has been awarded with National Teachers Awards 2021 for his dedication and contributions toward educating students from the remotest areas of the state. He also shared an appreciation post for his teacher.
