HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Saturday launched a scheme to provide breakfast to children in Anganwadi centres. Under the 'Toli Mudha' breakfast scheme, ready-to-cook food (upma and kichidi mix) would be provided to the children.
Speaking on the occasion, Reddy said lack of nutritious food is a major reason for health ailments among children.
The state government accorded top priority to provide nutritious food to the children, he said. The CM instructed officials to formulate plans to construct permanent buildings for Anganwadi centres and to stop running the centres in private buildings.
