NEW DELHI: The minorities welfare department of the Telangana government has invited applications for Chief Minister’s Overseas Scholarship Scheme for Minorities for the spring season 2023. Eligible students can apply for the scholarship on the official website, telanganaepass.cgg.gov.in. The last date to register is September 21.
Under the scholarship scheme, the minority students will get a scholarship of up to Rs 20 lakh to pursue post graduate or PhD courses in foreign universities in countries including United States, United Kingdom (UK), Australia, Canada, Singapore, Germany, South Korea, Japan, France, and New Zealand.
“Selected candidates will be eligible for a scholarship upto Rs 20 lakh or actual fees whichever is less. The details for procedure for application are available on www.telanganaepass.cgg.gov.in,” the department secretary said in an official notice.
According to the eligibility criteria for the scholarship, the aspirant should have scored 60 percent marks in graduation and got eligible score in the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) and English proficiency test. Only one child from a family is eligible for the scholarship and the family income of the applicant should be less than Rs 5 lakh per annum from all sources.
