TN 12th Results 2024 Out: 2,478 schools got 100% pass, Tiruppur top district

Download NowNEW DELHI: The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examinations today announced the result for 7.80 lakh students who appeared for TN 12th Class board exam 2024. As per the board, 2,478 schools secured 100% pass percentage, of these 397 were government schools. As many as 26,352 students got 100 marks in one of the subjects for which they appeared in the examination.

Private schools outperformed the government and aided schools. A total of 95.49% students of private schools cleared the Tamil Nadu Class 12 board exams 2024 while the pass percentage for government schools was 91.32%. In government-aided schools, 95.49% students passed the TN Class 12 board exams. The passing percentage for girls and co-educational schools was 96.39% and 94.7%, respectively.
92% pass TN Class 12 exams in Puducherry
In Puducherry, the Tamil Nadu 12th Class board examination was taken by 14,012 students. A total of 12,948 (92.41%) students in the union territory cleared the board exams. This year, girls outperformed boys by 4.07%. As per the board data, 96.44% (3,93,790) girl students cleared the exams in comparison to 92.37% (3,25,305) boys. The TN Class 12 board exam improved by 0.53% in comparison to last year. In 2023, 94.03% students passed the exams.
The best performing districts included Tiruppur (97.45%), Sivagangai (97.42%), Erode (97.42%), Ariyalur (97.25%) and Coimbatore (96.97%). Maximum overall pass percentage was witnessed in science subjects with 96.35% students clearing the exams. The highest was in biology, in which 99.35% students passed, followed by chemistry, botany, maths and physics.
