TN TRB 2024 registration begins tomorrow; eligibility criteria, fee

NEW DELHI: The Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board (TN TRB) is going to begin the registration process for the teacher recruitment exam 2024 tomorrow, February 14. Eligible candidates can fill out the application form through the official website at trb.tn.gov.in. The TN TRE 2024 registration window will remain open till March 15.
The recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 1,768 secondary teacher posts. The exam is tentatively scheduled to be conducted on June 23.
Candidates from the Unreserved (UR), Other Backward Class (OBC) categories will have to pay an application fee of Rs 600. For Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Special Central Assistance (SCA) and differently-abled candidates, the TN TRB application fee is Rs 300.
TN TRE 2024: Eligibility criteria
Candidates should have a valid Tamil Nadu Teachers Eligibility Test Certificate (TNTET) paper 1. Candidates from the general category should not be more than 53 years of age as of July 1, 2024. Age relaxation of five years will be given to applicants from SC, ST, Backward Class Muslims (BC Muslim), Backward Classes (BC), most backward classes and minorities.
Candidates should meet any one of these educational qualifications:

Graduation and two-year diploma in elementary education

Higher secondary or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and a 2-year diploma in elementary education.

Higher secondary or its equivalent with at least 45% marks and a 2-year diploma in elementary education in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) regulations, 2002.

Higher secondary or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd).

Higher secondary or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and a 2-year diploma in special education.
