TNEA 2025: 2.41 lakh students allotted ranks; name missing in rank list? Here’s what to do

TNEA Rank List 2025: Of the total 144 students who scored a perfect 200 marks, 139 are from the Tamil Nadu state board. Government special reservation counselling from July 7.
The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) recorded a 20.9% increase in the number of candidates allotted TNEA ranks this year. The rank list for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA 2025) was published today by the minister of higher education K Ponmudi at the DoTE in Chennai.
A total of 2,41,641 candidates have been allotted ranks, marking an increase of 41,773 students, or 20.9%, compared to last year. During his address, the minister said that a total of 3,02,374 applicants registered for TNEA, of which 2,50,298 candidates – an increase of 40,645 students, or 19.4%, compared to last year – paid the application fee.
Students will be able to check their TNEA ranks through the official website, tneaonline.org and tneaonline.org. If a student's name is missing from the TNEA rank list, or in case any details are incorrect, they have instructed to approach the nearest Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions Facilitation Centre (TFC) before July 2 to submit their grievances and rectify the errors.
“Government school students eligible under the 7.5% quota who missed selecting that option can also approach TFCs before 2 July 2025 to update their status,” he said.

“For queries, students may contact the TNEA call centre at 1800-425-0110. So far, 28,559 students have contacted the helpline,” he added.
A total of 8,037 students have written to tneacare@gmail.com and 1,564 students have made in-person enquiries so far, the minister said.
TNEA counselling 2025 dates
According to the TNEA 2025 counselling schedule , the admission selection process for special category will be held between July 7 to 11. The general TNEA counselling will be conducted from July 14 to August 19 and the supplementary counselling from August 21 to 23.
