TNEA counselling 2026 round 1 choice filling begins for BTech admissions; seat allotment on July 22

The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Tamil Nadu has started the online choice filling process for the TN Engineering Admissions 2026 (TNEA) counselling round 1 on its official website at tneaonline.org. To access the TNEA choice filling window, candidates who are eligible to appear for the TNEA round 1 counselling can login with the help of email address and password.

The TNEA counselling 2026 round 1 choice filling portal allows candidates to fill, rearrange, and lock their preferred colleges and engineering programmes.

Candidates can submit their choices of BTech courses and colleges through the TNEA counselling 2026 by July 22. According to the official notification, the education department will announce the TNEA 2026 round 1 seat allotment on July 24.

The TNEA counselling 2026 is being conducted for admission to BTech programmes at various government and private engineering colleges across Tamil Nadu.

Candidates will be allotted engineering seats on the basis of their Class 12 marks, category, rank and the choices filled during the TNEA 2026 counselling.

TNEA Counselling 2026: How to fill choices?

Candidates participating in TNEA counselling 2026 round 1 can check the steps given below to fill their preferred choice of colleges and programmes.

• Go to the official website at tneaonline.org.
• On the homepage, click on the TNEA choice filling link.
• A new page will open.
• Enter email ID and password and click on the login button.
• Now TNEA application form will appear, click on the next button.
• Select institute and btech programme as per your preference.
• Press the submit icon.
• Pay the required fee for counselling.

The authority will conduct the choice filling for the TNEA counselling 2026 round 2 from August 3 to 6, and round 3 choice filling from August 17 to 19.
