UGC NET 2023 exam from December 6-22; application form last date, syllabus

The last date to fill the UGC NET 2023 application form at the official website ugcnet.nta.nic.in is October 28. The exam will be held by the NTA.
NEW DELHI: The University Grants Commission - National Eligibility Test (UGC NET 2023) December session will be held from December 6 to 22. The UGC NET 2023 online application process has already begun at the official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will hold the exam for awarding eligibility certificates for ‘Assistant Professor’ and ‘Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)’.

The last date to submit UGC NET Dec application form is October 28 till 5 PM. The exam will be held for 83 subjects at different exam centres across the country. The testing agency will intimidate exam city in the last week of November. Hindu Studies and Indian Knowledge System are the two subjects that were newly added in the previous session.
UGC NET 2023 syllabus
The UGC NET 2023 will have two papers - paper 1 will have teaching and research-related questions and paper 2 will have subject-oriented questions.
UGC NET Paper 1 Syllabus 2023 - This section tests the teaching and research ability of the candidate. It assesses candidates’ cognitive abilities, general awareness about teaching and learning processes in the higher education system and interaction between people, and the environment.
UGC NET Paper 2 Syllabus - The second section will have questions from the subject selected by candidates from the 83 subjects. It measures the in-depth knowledge and expertise of the applicant in the respective subject.
A total of 6,39,069 candidates appeared in last year’s UGC NET exam. The NTA earlier announced that the UGC NET June 2024 exams will be held between June 10 to 21. As per the UGC policy, 6% of candidates who appear in both the papers and obtain minimum qualifying marks in aggregate of both the papers are declared qualified.
