The computer-based UGC NET 2026 examination will be held from June 22 to 30 in dual shifts.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued the UGC NET 2026 city intimation slip on its official website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. Candidates who have registered for the University Grants Commission - National Eligibility Test 2026 (UGC NET), can download the city slip by entering their application number and password.

The computer-based UGC NET 2026 examination will be held from June 22 to 30 in dual shifts. The morning shift will be held from 9 am to 12 noon, while the afternoon session will be conducted from 3 pm to 6 pm.
The UGC NET 2026 examination will be held for a total of 87 subjects at 271 centres. The question paper will contain 150 compulsory queries and will be divided into two parts.
The UGC NET 2026 question paper part 1 will have 50 questions on reasoning ability, general awareness, reading comprehension and divergent thinking skills. The second part 2 will contain 100 questions, assessing the candidate’s special subject knowledge.

UGC NET 2026: How to download city intimation slip
Candidates can follow the steps given below to download their UGC NET 2026 advanced city intimation slip.
- Go to the official website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
- On the homepage, scroll down and click on "Advance City Intimation of UGC-NET June 2026" link.
- A new window will open.
- Enter application number and password, along with the given captcha.
- Press the submit button.
- UGC NET June 2026 city slip will appear on the screen.
- Check your examination city and download the slip.
The competitive exam will be conducted for candidates seeking eligibility for the post of assistant professor, Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), and PhD admissions.
