UGC NET December 2025 results for 7.35 lakh candidates by February 4: NTA

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the UGC NET December 2025 result date and it is February 4, 2026. Candidates for assistant professor posts, PhD admissions and Junior Research Fellowships (UGC NET JRF) will get their UGC NET results at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.

The exams were held between December 31, 2025, to January 7, 2026, across different centres in the country.

A total of 7,35,592 candidates appeared for the computer-based University Grants Commission (UGC) NET December 2025 examination for a total of 85 subjects.

Earlier on January 15, NTA had released the UGC NET December 2025 provisional answer key on its official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in. Candidates were allowed to raise objections to the answer key in case of any discrepancies by January 17, on payment of a Rs 200 fee per question. The fee was refundable if the challenge was found to be valid.

For UGC NET 2025, candidates from the general category are required to secure 40% marks in each of the two papers to qualify, while candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories must obtain at least 35% marks in each paper.

• On the homepage, click on the link for UGC NET December 2025 result declaration.

• The result link will open in a new tab.

• Enter your UGC NET December application number, password, and the security code shown on the screen.

• Your UGC NET December 2025 scorecard will appear in PDF format.

• Review your qualifying status and other details mentioned on the scorecard.

• Download and save the UGC NET December 2025 result for future use.
