The UGC NET 2026 December examination will be conducted from December 14 to 19 for JRF, assistant professor, and admission to PhD programmes.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the registration process for the University Grants Commission - National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) 2026 December on its official website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.

The UGC NET 2026 December application portal will be closed on October 28, up to 11:50 pm. The testing agency will conduct the UGC-NET December 2026 examination from December 14 to 19, 2026.
The examination is conducted for candidates seeking eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professorship and PhD admissions.
The NTA has advised candidates to complete the application process before the deadline to avoid last-minute delays. The detailed information bulletin, eligibility criteria and subject-wise examination schedule are available on the official UGC-NET portal.

Candidates can follow the steps given below to register for the UGC NET December 2026.
- Go to the official website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
- On the homepage, click on the UGC NET December 2026 registration link.
- A new link will open.
- Enter required details.
- Pay the registration fee.
- Press the submit icon.
The application fee for the UGC NET 2026 December is Rs 1,150 for general candidates, Rs 600 for Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Other Backward Classes (OBC) - Non- Creamy (NCL) and Rs 325 for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disability (PwD) and third-gender candidates.
