UGC NET June 2026 correction window open at ugcnet.nta.nic.in; exam from June 22

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the correction window for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) June 2026 application form. Candidates have to visit the official website of UGC NET at ugcnet.nta.nic.in to make the correction. The last date to make the correction is May 28, 2026, until 11.50 p.m.

As per the official notice, the examination is being conducted for eligibility under three categories: award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and appointment as Assistant Professor, appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to PhD programmes, and admission to PhD only in universities and colleges across India.

The exam city intimation slip for UGC NET 2026 will be available for download from June 10, 2026, while the admit cards are scheduled to be released on June 15, 2026. The UGC NET 2026 examination will be conducted between June 22 and June 30, 2026.

UGC NET June 2026: Steps to make correction

To make the correction in the UGC NET June 2026 application form, candidates need to follow the steps given below:

• Visit the official website of UGC NET at ugcnet.nta.nic.in
• On the homepage, click on the application rectification window link
• Enter the login details, including application number and password
• Make the correction in the application form (as necessary) and then submit
• Save the confirmation paper for further reference

UGC NET June 2026: Exam pattern

The UGC NET June 2026 examination will consist of two sections featuring multiple-choice, objective-type questions. Both papers will be conducted together in a single session without any break. The total duration of the examination will be three hours. Except for language-specific papers, the question papers will be available only in Hindi and English.

UGC NET June 2026: Marking scheme

Under the marking scheme, each correct answer will carry two marks, while there will be no negative marking for incorrect responses or unanswered questions. The examination will include two papers: Paper I with 50 questions for 100 marks and Paper II with 100 questions for 200 marks, taking the total to 300 marks.
